COCAINE

Myocardial infarction (heart attack) caused by constricted blood vessels (vasospasm) affects coronary blood circulation in multiple territories of the heart. Coronary artery spasms can be due to usage of cocaine.

Cocaine is a strong stimulant used for pleasure.  It is snorted, inhaled or injected in the veins. It affects both mentally and physically. Mentally it gives a feeling of loss of contact with reality, intense happiness, or aggression. 

Physically it increases the heart rate, sweating and large pupils. High doses can result in high blood pressure or body temperature. The effect begins within minutes and last 5 to 90 minutes.

Cocaine does not attract approved medical use except as numbing during nasal surgery to decrease bleeding. It has the grip of addictive nature. A high risk of dependence will occur after short while. 
Its main affect is in causing stroke, heart attack, lung problems and sudden cardiac death. Cocaine sold in the streets are all adulterated with many chemicals to give additional toxicity.

Cocaine is made from the leaves of coca plant grown in South America. After cannabis cocaine is the most used illegal drug. Recreational use of cocaine has been decreed as criminal offence by all countries. 

it is used as anesthesia in nasal and lacrimal duct surgery in the eyes. The major disadvantage of its use in its ability to cause constriction of blood vessels. Synthetic medicines are used as an alternate.
Cocaine is a powerful nervous stimulant giving its effect up to an hour. It is used in several ways. Orally it is smeared in the teeth gums, chewed and kept between gum and cheeks.

Insufflations by nasal snorting, puffing or blowing involves powdered cocaine.  Mucus membrane absorbs cocaine up to 60% and peaks in 10 to 20 minutes. Injection of cocaine gives the fastest method to reach peak. An injection mixture of cocaine and heroin gives dangerous effect and cause immediate death. Inhalation is another method of using cocaine.

Chronic intake of cocaine  causes strong imbalances of transmitter levels in order to compensate extremes.
